David Walsh,
Operations Director

I have worked for the company for over 8 years. I love leading an organisation that strives to continuously improve the services we provide to young people locally, nationally and internationally.

As an Operations Director, I have co-responsibility for our organisation's overall management and direction. This includes the development, management and delivery of Advantage's business and operational plans.

Nikki Young,
Senior Project Officer

I have been with Advantage since 2019. My role involves managing the delivery of our accredited qualifications and working with our trainees on an individual basis. Helping to support them into employment, training or education and back into their local communities once released from custody.

I love working for a company dedicated to unleashing the potential of individuals most marginalised from society, as this is what I am passionate about, particularly working with individuals within the Criminal Justice System.

Matthew Campbell,
Business Development Executive

I have been with Advantage since the start of 2022, overseeing and carrying out the growth and success of our Social Enterprises

My role focuses on growing the awareness of our projects and developing the customer experience. As well as marketing and building the brands through planning, research, content, communication, and digital channels.

Working for a unique and forward-thinking company and seeing the impact our projects have on the marginalised young people we work with never gets old.

Adam Dickson,
Project Officer

I joined the team in January '23 as Project Officer for Ravine - Patrons Programme.

The Patrons Programme is an exciting opportunity for businesses to improve the health and well-being of their staff, allowing them to destress, reconnect with nature and return to the office with a fresh perspective and some homegrown produce for their colleagues.

This role combines my skills and interests beautifully and I am still pinching myself each morning when I walk onto the site and hear the variety of birdsong and am greeted by the sun coming over the crest of the hill.

Kenzie Reed,
Senior Project Officer

I started with the Advantage Foundation in June 2020 as the Senior Project Officer and Farm Manager at Ravine.

Part of my role here at Ravine is providing our trainees with a unique workplace experience, helping them thrive and learn new skills at their own pace in a relaxing and safe space. I have helped grow our Market Garden from a Potted Plant Sale in 2020 into a flourishing Social Enterprise.

Coming from a Management and Farming background, I love that every day here I get to use a diverse range of skills while working with our trainees on our unique Conservation site and Market Garden.

Mathew McFall,
Project Officer

I joined The Advantage Foundation in 2021. As project officer, my role revolves around our trainees; managing their day-to-day activities, their work experience and delivering the qualifications available to them at Ravine. I am the point of contact for all referrals to Ravine, whether that's a young person self-referring, through key workers from BHSCT or referrals from other 3rd Sector organisations.

In my role, I get to see first-hand the positive difference our project makes each day. Helping to create a positive space at our Ravine Nature Reserve for our trainees and the general public has been incredibly rewarding.
